The X02 is the speed shoe in the TerraSkin® range. At 298g and a 4mm drop, the lightest and lowest in the range, it is built for fast, runnable trails: dry, compacted ground, forest paths, gravel, less aggressive technical sections. Cushioning is set at 2/5 to keep the platform low and responsive, with strong ground feel for trail tempo sessions and short-to-medium racing. The SpeedFrame® chassis still gives you cushioned lateral control at speed, the SpinWeave® outsole still grips, but the geometry is tuned for pace over protection.

The X02 runs true to size. The independent scale data on the product page sits at FIT 3/5, with comfort and performance at 5/5 from verified buyers. The SkinKnit® upper adapts to the shape of your foot and lockdown comes from the sock-shoe system. If you have a wider forefoot, take a half-size up, at speed, toe-box volume matters more than overall length. The rest of the fit takes care of itself.

Skin-to-trail connection is the X02 specialty: more responsive than the rest of the TerraSkin® range, with less material between your foot and the surface. That is what makes it the fastest shoe in the range, and the right pick for trail tempo work and runnable terrain.

Four shoes, four jobs. The X02 is the lightest (298g) and lowest (4mm drop), tuned for speed on runnable trails, the closest shoe in the range to a minimalist racing shoe with the full sock system. The X00/C adds a Power-Lite Carbon plate for marathon racing on technical terrain. The X01 sits in the middle: complete cushioned control for long days on wild, varied terrain. The X03 maxes out cushion (5/5) and adds the widest fit for ultra distances. If your runs are technical or wet, the X00/C and X01 are the safer picks, the X02 is built for dry, runnable ground.

The difference is shorter, less aggressive lugs tuned for the X02's job: keeping you fast and stable on dry, compacted trails without dragging on hard ground. Independent testing of the SpinWeave® system has reported grip across frozen ground and dry rock. For deep mud or sustained wet rock, the X00/C and X01 are the more aggressive choices. For everything dry, fast and runnable, the X02 grips exactly as much as it needs to.
