Product Description

Natural warmth that breathes
Merino wool adds natural temperature, moisture and odor control that works both ways: insulating when cold, moisture-managing when warm. Combined with the Anatomix® second-skin fit, this creates all-day comfort.

Midfoot support for control
X-Bandage Midfoot Support creates a supportive structure that guides natural foot rolling for more stability and control on technical terrain and loaded descents.

Sensitive areas stay protected
Lambertz-Nicholson Achilles Tendon Protector 4.0 adds cushioning where the footwear collar meets the Achilles tendon — reducing pressure and friction on this vulnerable spot during long hikes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew made for?
What is the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew made for?
The Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew is built for colder starts, changeable mountain weather and longer hikes in hiking shoes or lower boots. It pairs the crew cut with Merino wool, so you get the everyday versatility of a crew height plus Merino's natural temperature, moisture and odor management when conditions turn cool or you are out for several days. Shaped to the anatomical form of your foot rather than stretched as a tube, it holds a second-skin fit from an early, cold start to the last descent, with targeted protection and ventilation reducing the rubbing and heat that cause blisters.
How does the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew fit and which size should I take?
How does the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew fit and which size should I take?
The Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew is unisex and sits at crew height, just above the ankle, the natural match for hiking shoes and lower boots. The shaping is anatomical, so the sock wraps your toes, heel, ankle and Achilles instead of stretching a tube over them, with a dedicated left and right you feel immediately if swapped. The Merino content adds a soft, natural next-to-skin feel without changing the close fit. It fits because it is built to your foot, not because it squeezes, so take your normal size.
How does Merino in the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew help on the trail?
How does Merino in the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew help on the trail?
Merino wool adds a natural layer to the Anatomix® system. It buffers temperature so your foot stays comfortable across cold starts and warmer climbs, and it manages moisture and odor naturally over multi-day trips. That works alongside the anatomical shape, which removes spare fabric so there is less wrinkling and movement, plus X-Bandage support, Ring Tech Anti-Friction at high-friction zones and the Air-Conditioning Channel® for airflow. Less friction, less heat and better moisture control reduce the hot spots that become blisters. It lowers the causes of blisters, though no sock can promise you will never get one.
What makes the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew different from other Merino hiking socks?
What makes the Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew different from other Merino hiking socks?
Most Merino hiking socks add wool to a tube-shaped sock and rely on cushioning or compression for structure. The Hike Anatomix® Merino Crew starts from the anatomy of the foot instead, wrapping the toes, heel, ankle and Achilles for a true second-skin fit, then bringing Merino into that shaped construction. Each sock takes around 18 minutes to knit, roughly three times longer than a conventional technical sock, because the fit, support and ventilation are built in, not added on. Merino comfort on top of fit-first engineering is what sets it apart, and it is unique to X-BIONIC.
