X-Lowpounds is a newly developed, multifilament microfibre with a surprising warmth property – despite its low specific weight compared to conventional fibres it delivery superb insulating performance. X-Lowpounds is a yarn which is produced in very fine form and is then used to produce a high-density fabric. This is ideal for products which must deliver a defined level of insulation whilst still being lightweight. During the production of X-Lowpounds, microscopically fine cavities are created in the yarn which can wick air and moisture quickly.
The bat is one of the lightest mammals on Earth. Its virtuosity in the air is a function of its low weight. Its hide is also a unique lightweight construction. Bats have a dense, often silky hide. The delicate bat hide was the inspiration behind the development of X-Lowpounds.
X-Lowpounds is breathable, extraordinarily soft and therefore particularly pleasant to wear. It also holds its shape, is easy to look after and resistant to UV – and what is more, it is also incredibly hard-wearing and lint-free. That has been proven by scoring tests. Products made of X-Lowpounds will give their owners many years of pleasure. But we’ve saved the best until last – X-Lowpounds is also very stretchy.
