Thibault Marquet

Thibault Marquet is a top-tier French ultra-trail runner known for conquering some of Europe’s toughest mountain ultramarathons. Based in the Beaufortain massif, his endurance, resilience, and technical trail skills have earned him victories on the UTMB circuit and in other legendary mountain races.

“You must enjoy it. No more constraints of high-level competition.”

From Brittany to the Peaks

Originally from Brittany, Marquet made a mid-career transition from off-road cycling to trail running. As part of the switch, he relocated to Beaufortain and its high-alpine terrain in 2014.

His sporting talent had been clear for many years. As a university-level cross-country mountain bike champion in 2011, he quickly caught the eye.

After immersing himself in mountain-running culture, he rapidly impressed in events like the 2019 Ultra Tour du Beaufortain (5th place) and built momentum with major ultra victories.

In 2024, Marquet showed his extraordinary abilities across 148km by taking first place in the men's UTMB TDS.
