Next prominent team member: Only one week after the signing of French rider Sabrina Enaux, Adelheid Morath has announced her transition to the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Team. The 25 year old German, so far member of Team Rothaus-Cube, has signed a 3 year contract with her new entrepreneur. Morath won the 2009 German marathon championships, and placed second at the German national Olympic cross country race, behind Olympic Champion Sabine Spitz. The qualification for the Olympic Games at Beijing is one of the highlights in her young career. Despite a technical default Morath finished an impressive 18th place. However Morath is not satisfied with this result. Her next big ambition is London 2012. The next step is to land consistent results in the top ten in the world cups. The sports soldier, who has just begun studying physiotherapy ini Freiburg, looks forward to her new team: „For me it is a big chance to develop. The team philosophy with its focus on London 2012 matches my own personal ambitions“. Jörg Scheiderbauer, sports director of the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC World Cup Team, is also enthusiastic: „Adelheid is the German rider of the future. We will work closely with her and want to establish her in world class mountain biking“.
