  Route and gear

  From the 3th to the 8th June I do three tours in Transylvania: with the mountain bike Poiana Braşov and two trekking trips in the Bucegi Mountains and Muntii Piatra Craiului in the south of the Carpathian Mountains, where the bear, lynx and Wolf are still at home. Transylvania is close to the wooded Carpathian Mts in the horseshoe-shaped curve surrounding the centrale Romanian scenery.

  

  In order to spend the night outside all I have is one selfinflatable air bed as a base and a sleeping-bag with bivouac, Camping cookers, flashlight and first aid set should always be present in the backpack of course. The need for minimum clothing vairies from X-SOCKS ® , X-BIONIC ® trekking shirts and underwear up to Outdoor Hypershell of X-BIONIC ®. I will test the prototype of the brand-new Outdoor jacket during seven days exclusively.

  All by himself: Peter Maisenbacher

  Seven days straight through Transylvania: Peter Maisenbacher, a known sports presenter and serious Outdoor fan, over the space of just 1 week walks through Transylvania in Romania and renounces heavy luggage. To reduce the volume of equipment taken by the 52 year old, he has relied on the functional clothing of Swiss cult brands X-BIONIC ® and X-SOCKS ®.

  The family person: Peter Maisenbacher is a qualified pedagogue with degrees in German studies, Anglistics and philosophy. As a father of four children and husband of an understanding woman he lives in, the Super Bavarian, Voralpenland in a detached house with a big garden.

  

  The sportsman: As an eager runner Peter Maisenbacher immediately became a twice German boss's master with the relay, ran a marathon less than three hours and is a DLV A trainer.
